What weight loss options do you offer?
Start your weight loss journey today with medically supervised weight management. In conjunction with proper nutrition and exercise, injectable GLP-1 agonist medications like semaglutide or Tirzepatide, Lipo Mino, and B12 can help boost metabolism, reduce hunger, and lead to significant weight loss.
Who should consider these therapies?
Obesity can be detrimental to your health and well-being. It is estimated that 1 in 6 U.S. deaths are related to excess weight or obesity. It can cause or worsen severe medical conditions including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, and gallbladder disease. It also effects your day to day activities causing shortness of breath, increased fatigue, increased sweating, back and joint pain. If you are overweight and frustrated because your current weight loss efforts have not been successful, then you may benefit from injectable weight loss medications.
What is a GLP-1 agonist?
Semaglutide medications such as Ozempic and Wegovy fight obesity by mimicking the GLP-1 hormone that is secreted in your gut to help regulate appetite and hunger, lower blood sugar, and burn fat more efficiently.
What is a Tirzepatide?
Tirzepatide, also known as Mounjaro activates both GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) and GLP-1 receptors. This dual activation leads to increased efficacy in controlling blood sugar, curbing appetite, and reaching weight loss goals.
What is Lipo Mino?
Lipo Mino is a lipotrophic injection consisting of amino acids, vitamins that help to optimize metabolism and increase energy and vitality. It can be used on its own or in combination with other therapies such as semaglutides and B12.
Methylcobalamine is a form of B12 that helps to maintain metabolism, blood cells, and nerve function. Low levels of B12 can lead to symptoms of fatigue, anemia, memory problems, anxiety, fertility issues, joint pain, and poor muscle function. B12 injections are preferred over oral administration because of increased efficacy and absorption when given this way. They can be used on their own or in conjunction with other therapies, such as semaglutides and Lipo Mino
Will my medical insurance cover this?

How much weight should I expect to lose?
Weight loss can be variable between different patients, but most can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.
Are there any side effects?
The most common side effects of these medications are gastrointestinal issues such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, indigestion, bloating and gas. Headaches can also occur.
Who administers my medications?
I myself, Dr. Megan Bertke, perform all consultations, medication injections, and follow up appointments.
What should I expect at my appointment?
An initial consultation is scheduled to discuss your medical history and weight loss goals to see if the addition of these medications would be beneficial for you. You will receive a personalized plan and I will answer any questions you have about the process and the medications. Photos and measurements are taken for documentation and comparison purposes. If you decide that you want to move forward with treatment, the medications can be given during the same appointment. Your progress is monitored at regular intervals through follow-up appointments and adjustments can be made as needed. The initial consultation usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. Follow up appointments typically last about 10-15 minutes. During follow-up appointments you will have measurements taken, discuss your progress, and receive your medications.
What if I am not sure if this is right for me?
That’s what I am here for! The first step is simply scheduling a consultation so that we can discuss it in detail and answer any questions you may have. These medications can be a wonderful option to achieve better health through weight loss, but they are not for everyone. If you decide that this is not the right option for you after consultation then you can rest easy knowing that you made an informed decision after getting all the facts.
